Holly Peart is entering her second year of full-time teaching in the classroom, but she has had a lot of outside teaching experience. Being a camp counselor for two summers at Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je in Bailey, Colorado is what brought her to the realization that she wanted to teach as a career. She went to the University of Northern Colorado, graduating in 2006. Her year of student teaching was completed in Evans, Colorado and here in Denver at Ashley Elementary. After graduating from UNC Holly took some time off, only to find her heart drawing her right back to teaching. Holly married a wonderful man in October, 2007, who helped encourage her to start teaching again at Sylvan Learning Center in Denver. She was reinstated in Denver Public Schools through substitute teaching in 2008, and secured a position at Knight Academy for that fall after substitute teaching there. The first year has been a tremendous growing experience for the teacher right along with the students. Mrs. Peart's first class will live in her heart forever.
