I am excited to start my tenth year of teaching.and I love teaching at Knight Fundamental Academy at Hallett.  A little about me...My family and I moved to Colorado in 1994.  My son and daughter who are grown up (or so they keep telling me) still live in Colorado.  They grew up camping, fishing, and hiking and still enjoy spending time in the Rocky Mountains--just like me!  Last year, I bought a Harley motorcycle.  If you see a black pearl, Delux motorcycle with a woman wearing a black helmet, it may be me--please honk! 

Now about teaching, I have two major philosophies...

      1.  I have yet to meet a child I did not like. 

      2.  Every child can and will learn; I expect it!

How do I accomplish this?  First, children are amazing creations.  If you set high expectations, they rise to meet them.  There are many times that my third graders end up handling fourth and fifth grade work--especially in math.
