Hello, I'm Mrs. Keeton, the principal of Knight Fundamental Academy at Hallett. I am proud to say that over the past year, Knight has experienced some wonderful changes. I'm confident that you will find Knight is a friendly place where you feel welcome and where your voice is heard. I'm also tremendously proud of the academic progress we've made. Knight's teachers and staff are making a difference in the lives of our students and our students are not only excited to be here, they are excited to learn. I see this this every day when I greet students as they come off the bus. When I was in elementary school, I remember that the principal of my school always greeted me by name. That simple act made me feel so special. I want Knight students to know that they are special.

The 2009-2010 school year marks my 29th year in the field of education. I was a classroom teacher for 24 years, an area math specialist for two years and this will be my second year as the principal at Knight. My goal is to provide Knight students with a solid educational foundation that prepares them for middle school, high school and beyond. In the years to come, the question I want our students to be asking themselves is not "if" they are going to college, but "where" they are going to college.
