Knight Fundamental Academy is a Denver Public Schools Magnet School. We are a 1st through 5th grade school, and offer tuition based ECE and full day Kindergarten.
Our school was begun in 1982 with a Back-to-Basic's approach to learning. Our student’s curriculum is based on Math, Reading , Writing, Spelling, Composition, Grammar,Science, Discipline, and Citizenship. While our students thrive in a teacher-based learning environment we enrich the curriculum with Music, Art, Computer, Library/Research and daily physical Education/dance.
With today’s style of education turning towards various styles of teaching/learning, why does Knight Fundamental Academy continue with our founding style of teaching? Because it works! Our students are ready for the challenges of Middle School when they leave Knight. Our alumnus boasts many Boettcher Scholarship Scholars. Our facility is one of the best Denver Public Schools has to offer. Our teachers, staff, and administration believe in 'It Takes a Village to Raise a Child' philosophy in developing a strong foundation in our students, to support a lifetime of learning.
Knight Fundamental Academy is a school of choice school educational alternative in Denver Public Schools. We require active parental involvement, both in the classroom and volunteering. Because of our 'It Takes a Village to Raise a Child' philosophy parents, teachers, students, and administration work together to ensure that all our children have every opportunity available to them for a strong education.
