Hallett Fundamental Academy is a magnet school focused on a traditional, back-to-basics curriculum, a rigorous academic environment and individual student responsibility. We were called Knight Fundamental Academy from 1982 through May 2009, then Knight Fundamental Academy at Hallett during 2009-2010.
We are a 1st- through 5th-grade school, and offer tuition-based Early Childhood Education and full-day kindergarten. Meet our principal, Mrs. Keeton.
Founded in 1982, our school has offered a proven back-to-basics approach to learning for more than 25 years. Our curriculum is based on a strong foundation of math, reading, writing, spelling, composition, grammar, science, discipline and citizenship. While our students thrive in a rigorous academic environment, their experience is enriched with art, information literacy instruction, library/research and daily physical education/dance.
Why do we choose to continue with our fundamental approach to learning? Because it works! When our students leave Hallett, they are armed with the knowledge and confidence to be successful in middle school and beyond—in fact, many of our alumni are Boettcher Scholarship scholars.
Our teachers, staff and administration believe It Takes a Village to Raise a Child, and we encourage and expect active parental involvement both in the classroom and through volunteer opportunities. Together, we work to ensure that all of our children have every opportunity to achieve strong academic success.
Hallett Fundamental Academy is a School of Choice option within Denver Public Schools. Our school has a mandatory uniform policy, where students wear gold polo shirts and navy pants, skirts or jumpers.
